Read your plan’s collection route
Open How clients pay. Solo uses managed collection with recipient onboarding and a 1% Moolamochi fee plus actual processing fees. Studio and Agency use their own connected Stripe account with no Moolamochi percentage fee.
Keep the client principal unchanged
For Invoice #104, the client principal remains $1,250. The Solo fee is deducted from freelancer proceeds; do not add a $12.50 surcharge row or use a manual mark-paid bypass.
Inspect the fee record and prepare a refund
The successful-payment view shows $1,250 principal, a $12.50 platform fee and an unavailable actual processor fee. Missing processor data is not zero: net proceeds are $1,250 − $12.50 − S. The recording types a $25 refund and reason for review only; it does not submit a refund.
Review refund and settlement distinctions
The recording opens Confirm refund request without confirming. A customer refund is not complete until Stripe confirms it. Fee rebate, recipient recovery, transfer and bank payout have separate states. Inspect Bank payout observations and reconciliation cases; Paid does not prove proceeds reached a bank.
What changes when you finish
The client principal stays $1,250; the Solo platform fee is $12.50 on that successful collection. Actual processing, transfer and payout observations remain separately visible.
A $1,250 collection example
For a successful $1,250 payment, the Moolamochi fee is $12.50. If Stripe reports an actual transaction processing fee of S, merchant net is $1,250 − $12.50 − S. S is read from the transaction rather than estimated from an advertised percentage. General platform infrastructure costs are not added as hidden invoice charges.
Onboarding and transfer are separate from payment
Solo requires platform-managed Stripe recipient onboarding. Country, settlement currency and account capabilities must be supported before checkout. An invoice can be Paid while its net transfer is pending or restricted. A transfer to a connected Stripe balance is not the same as a payout arriving at a bank.
Other plans and later changes
Studio and Agency connect their own Stripe account and have no Moolamochi percentage fee; Stripe processing costs still apply. Changing plan does not reroute an earlier charge, refund or transfer. Refunds record the proportional Moolamochi fee rebate and actual nonrefunded processing costs separately from the original invoice.
